Development / Planning

Developed a complex custom Wordpress theme to allow for the management of their online portfolio, press releases, blog posts, and other content. The feed section also integrates with their Twitter and there is a custom script for images that takes one upload and will size and cache it upon demand for any application. The most fun is the template is fluid and simple to update.

Design / Development / Branding / Planning

For my senior project at the University of Wisconsin - Stout I developed the plan for an online nightlife tool to help people plan their night out with a focus on rating, events, and menu prices that are all searchable. It is built from scratch with it's own basic framework in PHP. It utilizes AJAX for some of the form processing and a custom search engine to present results. Also currently in the process of reworking the site for a revamped version 2 release.

Development

In March of 2010 I was part of Team Placeholder for the "Overnight Website Challenge" where nine other web professionals and I sat down for 24 hours to help a non-profit get a web presence that will help them continue their mission. Happy to say that my team won the event after the judging was over and our non-profit was delighted with the site they gained in the process. Their mission is to preserve the Dakota language and we did our best to help convey this as well as provide a resource for them for the future.
